Description:

1) 39 1/2 inch long, with a straight 33 inch unsharpened blade, etched decoration, George V cipher and an unstamped proof disc. The nickel finished guard has cut-through decoration, and the grip is wire wrapped rayskin, with a leather covered metal scabbard. 2) Wilkinson brand sword, 38 1/2 inches overall with a 32 5/8 inch blade. Configuration and decoration similar to 1, with "ERI" ciphers and a nickel finished scabbard.

Rating Definition:

1) Fine, with some light spotting on the blade and fading of the etching, flaking on the guard, and mild handling marks overall. The scabbard is fair, with some scuffing and loss of the leather, and flaking and spotting of the underlying metal. 2) Very fine, with mild spotting on the blade, strong etching and nickel finish, and light wear overall. Scabbard is very good.
