The relief raised ribs at the breech end of the barrel are engraved with light scroll and scallop border on the sides and floral scroll with a punch dot background on the top. The muzzle has a band of feather design engraving. The receiver is absent of any markings except the serial number on the underside. The matching serial number is also marked on the bottom of the barrel under the forearm and on the rear edge of the forearm. The barrel is fitted with a windage adjustable front globe sight, the rear sight dovetail has been crudely filled and there is a mid-range tang mounted Vernier peep sight. Blue barrel and casehardened remaining parts, double set triggers and mounted with the correct multi-point checkered walnut forearm with a horn forend and a straight grip stock with a cheek piece and nickel plated brass Swiss buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel retains 30% thin original blue finish mixed with a smooth brown patina. The lever has a smooth dark mottled patina. The receiver has a smooth mottled patina. The revarnished wood remains very good with 30% varnish remaining, and few minor dings and dents. The checkering remains crisp. The engraving is crisp and clear. The action is fine.
