Description:

Manufactured from 1863 until 1875, the Remington New Model Army was Colt's Model 1860 Army's main competitor. This example has the three-line barrel patent/address/model marking, various small single letter inspection marks, a pinched blade front sight, smooth walnut grips (OWA cartouche present on left panel), and the serial number is on the bottom of the barrel, under the left grip panel on the grip straps, and on the underside of the grips (partial).

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 30% of the original blue finish with otherwise a brown patina with some areas of light oxidation and several groups of extensive concentrated dings and dents. The grips are good with some small chips and repairs along with some minor edge wear. Mechanically excellent with mostly crisp markings.
