Description:

Measuring 15 1/4 inches overall, with a 10 1/4 inch spear point blade featuring a 5 inch false edge and etched decoration on the left side with an eagle clenching an "EQUAL RIGHTS" banner in the beak, "G.WOSTENHOLM & SON/WASHINGTON WORKS/SHEFFIELD" and "I*XL". Fitted with a German silver oval cross guard, a full length tang and a pair of smooth grip scales with a small blank inscription panel on the left side. With an original black leather "I*XL" embossed sheath with nickel furniture.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The blade is mostly bright with a few patches of spotting and pitting. The guard and grips are both solidly mounted to the tang with a few light handling marks, and the latter shows some tiny cracks around the rivets and panel, lightly aged color and subtle grain. The sheath is good with the frog stud absent from the throat, spotting on the metal and minimal scuffs on the leather.
