This example of a Colt Model 1849 Pocket revolver manufactured in 1862 is marked with "ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA" on the top of the 5 inch barrel (scarce), "COLTS/PATENT" on the right side of the frame, and matching serial numbers. The six-shot cylinder is roll-stamped with the stagecoach holdup scene. It is fitted with a varnished walnut grip.

Fair. The revolver has an aged patina on the exposed brass and traces of original silver plating with otherwise a gray patina mixed with patches of minor pitting and several strike type marks. The grip is very good with some minor blemishes and handling wear. The markings are partially faded, but the action remains excellent.
