This example was manufactured early in the Type III 1912 to 1935 production range and engraved "T.B.W." in script on the back strap, finished in gold, and fitted with smooth grips. It has the Remington-U.M.C. address on the rib and the serial number on the bottom of the barrel and under left grip. It comes with a fitted wood case with blank initial plate; blue trimmed interior with cardinal lining, a key, and block of six cartridges. The hammer, trigger, and several small components have a nitre blue finish.

Fine as replated in gold. 80% plus of the gold finish remains with the back strap worn to mostly bright and some edge wear. The grips are good with some minor cracks. Mechanically excellent with legible markings. The custom case is very good with some minor storage wear.
