The Brooklyn Arms Company only produced 100 or fewer of these six shot pocket revolvers in the mid-1860s compared to over 10,000 of their more well known style with sliding chambers. This example has the standard scroll engraving patterns along with "1" on the back of the cylinder and bottom of the barrel, and under the left grip panel on the front strap; there are no visible maker's marks. It is fitted with a set of walnut grips and utilizes brass post front and frame groove rear sights. Included with the revolver is a copy of FIREARMS CURIOSA by Winant.

Good. The iron components have a mottled gray patina with mild pitting, and the brass frame has an lightly aged patina with traces of the silver plating in the protected areas. The top of the hammer has been professionally repaired. It is mechanically fine, and the engraving patterns are clear.The lightly sanded grips are good with wear at the high spots. The action is fine. This is the first example of this very rare model ever produced.
