This highly decorative flintlock (chieftain grade) pistol features a relief chisel engraved barrel and silver furniture. The breech end of the barrel features a 3 1/2 inch wedge of chisel engraved scroll and floral blossom pattern. The pattern extends to the rear of the lock plate, artfully shaped hammer, trigger guard and side plate. An unidentified marking is present on the lock plate ahead of the hammer. The barrel/forearm shroud and butt cap are silver and feature full coverage chisel engraved pattern incorporating floral blossoms and scrollwork. The full length stock features a light high relief carving.

Good. The pistol has a smooth gray patina showing minor pitting. The silver is fine. The repaired stock is fine with some minor handling marks. The thumb escutcheon is missing. Mechanically fine.
