The .22 caliber Remington-Elliot Derringer pistols were only produced from 1863 to the 1870s with a production of approximately 7,500 compared to the .32 caliber four shot variant that was produced until 1888 with a total of about 17,500. This example has the standard two line address and patent information on the top of the barrel group, bead and notch sights, mother of pearl grips, and the matching serial number on the frame.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% plus of the blue finish with spots of brown and gray patina mostly confined to the grip straps. The grips are very fine with some slight cracks, chips, and discoloration. The markings are clear, and the action is excellent.
