Description:

This pepperbox has a smooth bored cylinder with long flutes and chambers, a quick release cylinder retainer, folding trigger, spur-less hammer, and round butt walnut grips. A "5" is stamped on the left side of the recoil shield and the right side has "A FRANCOTTE/A LIEGE". Belgian proofs are on the rear face of the cylinder, and "C.H.R" is stamped on the right grip panel. It comes in a bound case with brass plaque and studs. The interior is lined in blue velvet, is fitted to the gun, has an additional compartment, and has a key.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 60% of the original blue finish with a gray patina on the balance, some light oxidation, and minor scratches. The grips are very good with some scrapes and handling wear. The action is excellent, and the markings are generally crisp. The case is very good with some storage type wear.
