The Type III or Model No. 4 variation of the Remington Over/Under derringer was manufactured from 1912 until 1935 with a production run total of approximately 55,000. It has "REMINGTON ARMS - - U.M.C. CO. ILION, N.Y." marked on the top of the rib, and the matching serial number on the underside of the barrel group (partially obscured) and on the left side of the grip strap. It has standard blade and notch sights and checkered hard rubber grips.

Very fine. The pistol retains 75% plus of the blue finish with white fill in the barrel markings and a gray patina on the balance. There is a patch of slight pitting on the right side of the upper barrel. The grips are fine to very good with some small chips on the edges and crisp checkering. The action remains excellent.
