Description:

This Victorian era Cameronian (Scottish) Rifles officer's 1869 pattern shako features dark green cloth body with black lace around the top and waist with braided black cord along the top of the front peak and up to the cap line hooks. There is dark green cord through the black braided line at the cap line hooks and runs around the back. The badge is a French horn hanging from a bow. Black coiled cord boss at the top front with a cut feather plume rising above it. The peak is black leather with a green skived leather lining. The sweat band is natural skived leather and there is a quilted purple silk liner with "F. W. Flight" label. With metal storage tin.

Rating Definition:

Fine, the dark green cloth shows minor wear and has faded to black. The metal components have darkened with age. The sweat band has some staining and has become partially unstitched near the ears. The silk lining has some minor stains. The storage tin is good with 75% finish remaining and some scattered dents.
