The Type II derringers were manufactured by Remington beginning in 1888. This example has the low batch/serial number "194" marked on the grip frame under the left panel and underside of the barrel group. This suggest the pistol was either made early in the range or later after the numbering restarted again at 1. It has a blued finish and a pair of attractive mother of pearl grips. The barrel is marked with "REMINGTON ARMS CO., ILION, N.Y." and has fixed blade and notch sights. The matching serial number is marked on the left side of the grip frame and underside of the barrel.

Fine. The pistol retains 50% plus of the original blue finish with a gray patina on the balance. The grips are very good with iridescent colors and mild handling wear. The action remains excellent, and the markings are mostly crisp.
