Description:

Manufactured from 1870 to 1890. The top of the barrel has the standard two-line Hartford address followed by "No.1" in between a pair of Maltese crosses. The frame has the standard engraving and checkered panels on the grip area. The letter "G" is stamped ahead of the trigger, and the barrel and grip have the serial number on the bottom. Two English proofs are also marked on the bottom of the barrel. It comes in a fitted hardwood case with "AOW" marked plaque, blue velvet interior and cartridge block containing six rounds of "U" marked ammunition.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 50% plus of the fading original blue finish. The frame and balance of the barrel display a light brown patina with some faint pitting, minor marks and scratches. The markings and patterns are crisp. The action needs work as the hammer spring is broken. The case is very good with some minor storage wear on the exterior and some staining and tears on the interior.
