Description:

Manufactured in 1872, this revolver features integral blade front and notch rear sights, "COLTS HOUSE PISTOL" marking on top of the barrel, the patent dates in the frame groove, the distinctive four-shot cylinder, checkered hammer and trigger, and smooth varnished grips. The ejector rod fits in the cylinder pin and can be used without removing the cylinder. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the barrel, front of the cylinder, and the butt and is also hand marked on the underside of the grips.

Rating Definition:

Extremely fine-Excellent. The revolver retains 85% plus of the original nickel plating with only some light scratches, some flaking on the cylinder, and handling/storage marks. The grips are very fine with some minor imperfections and edge wear. Mechanically excellent with crisp markings.
