With a single steel bead sight, choked improved modified/improved modified and 3 inch chambers with ejectors. The jeweled barrel flats have an Eibar proof house mark, a provisional double barrel proof and an optional smokeless powder proof. The barrels under the forearm are marked with a faint "15.8". The lightly coin finish receiver features extensive scrolling floral and vine engraving with tight whirls and wonderfully detailed rosettes. Engraving is continued onto the fences, breech lever, upper tang, safety switch, trigger guard and lower tang. The engraver's signature "M. FRAN" is on the right side, just forward of the trigger guard. The lower tang is engraved "216 RL". Mounted on a multi-point checkered walnut splinter forearm with engraved hardware and a straight grip stock with silver initial oval and diamond pattern checkered naked butt. Length of pull is 14 3/4 inches.

Excellent overall, with 99% original finish. Displaying only minimal light handling marks on the barrels and action. The wood is excellent, with sharp checkering, attractive grain and very nice figuring. Buttstock does display a few very small surface scratches on the right side. Mechanically excellent.
