Description:

Manufactured in Germany, this DWM Luger pistol bears the serial number "1" on the underside of the "fat" style barrel, front of the frame, underside of the takedown latch and side plate, side of the trigger and the back of the rear toggle link with "GERMANY" export marks on top of the undated chamber and on the front of the frame. No German proofs are visible, though the extractor and upper safety position show the German military/commercial style "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" markings. Though no documentation is available for this pistol, the combination of markings suggests a very early Commercial DWM pistol intended for the American market, with the Model 1908 hold-open and stock lug, but without the American market-specific "LOADED" and "SAFE" markings. Fitted with straw finished small parts, nitre blue pins, screws and springs, checkered walnut grips and a nickel finished magazine with an unnumbered wood base.

Rating Definition:

Near new with 99% plus of the original blue finish, showing a light scuff on the upper left side of the extension, light wear along some of the edges and minor handling marks. The grips are excellent with a few tiny dings on the crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
