A) Echeverria Star Model 1914 Semi-Automatic Pistol

Description:

The first Star model to have the now modern Star trademark. With fixed sights, hard rubber grips and lanyard staple. Other markings are as standard. Pistol is pictured and identified by serial number in J. Howard Matthews "Firearms Identification Vol. III" on page 261, plate 2013.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with 40% original blue finish primarily on the frame. The slide has a mostly brown/gray patina with traces of blue, in the more protected areas. Scattered light spotting, and pitting are present as well as areas of edge wear. Grips are very good, with well defined checkering, and clear lettering. Mechanically very good.

1925 dated Spanish copy of a Mannlicher design. With standard markings and features. Design was discontinued in 1929. Magazine is absent.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 50% original blue finish. Displaying small scattered dings, light spotting, and minimal pitting, as well as areas of edge wear. Grips are poor, with a large portion of the left panel broken at the top screw, and the right panel being a non matching replacement. Mechanically fine.
