Similar in form to various Chinese copies of European pistols, this particular model most closely resembles a Mauser semi-automatic with a serrated ring type hammer and round bottom grip frame. Marked "1944" on the slide, frame and barrel; it is not known if this is an attempt at serialization or if this represents its year of manufacture. Other markings appear to be random lines of lettering with no clear meaning. Grips are carved horn with simple inset brass suns.

Very good overall with most of a dark arsenal style blue finish showing areas of edge wear, scattered scratches, light pitting and minor dings. Grips are very good with unique designs and close fit. Mechanically fine. A very unique and comparatively well made example of an early 20th century Chinese copy.
