Description:

Manufactured in 1911. Fixed sights with the standard one-line caliber marking on the left, the two-line/three-date patent markings on the top, and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", "P", and "R.A.C." (Rinaldo Carr) on the underside. The frame is marked with the Rampant Colt and long "C" and is equipped with a checkered hammer, smooth trigger, "K" marked square cylinder latch and checkered ejector rod head, along with "R.A.C." and "W.G.P." (Walter Penfield) on the right side. Smooth walnut grips with "R.A.C." markings on the bases, a lanyard ring and "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1909" on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall with 80% plus original high polish blue finish displaying some areas of edge wear, thinning finish and scattered minor dings. Showing some areas of finish aging to alight brown patina. Grips are very good as lightly sanded and oiled. Mechanically excellent.
