Manufactured in 1942. With the standard two-line two-block address and patent information flanking the Rampant Colt logo. Fitted with customized blade front and notch rear sights. The left side of the frame has a "W.B." inspection mark above and rear of the trigger and a "P" marked near the magazine release. The right side of the slide is marked with standard British proofs and the barrel is marked with caliber and tonnage. Fitted with standard checkered brown plastic grips with reinforcing rings around the screws. Includes a 1943 dated leather "U.S." embossed holster with leather thong.

Fine as modified (target custom front and rear sights with front sight crudely installed) with 90% of the original dark parkerized finish on the balance and some slight areas of edge wear and handling marks. The grips are excellent with crisp well defined checkering and some small handling marks. Holster is very good with supple leather and strong stitching.
