Measuring 16 1/4 inches long, of one-piece construction with a 9 inch double edged blade, deep double fullers with what appears to be Damascus pattern etching, ribbed and engraved central spines, and a fleur-de-lis style design at the base. The hilt is gold paneled and floral engraved, with a pair of 2 1/2 inch wide crossbars. The sheath is silver with a red velvet inner lining, extensive pierced-through floral decoration and a gold wash along the throat and edges.

Very fine. The blade is mostly in bright original polish, with a small chip at the tip, a few patches of pitting, and notably sharp edges. Over 95% of the original gold paneling is present on the hilt, with a deep brown patina in the exposed areas. The sheath is fair, with the tip absent, a few breaks in the floral designs, and some disintegration of the liner.
