Measuring 37 inches overall with a 31 1/2 inch deeply fullered trefoil blade with "P.D.L." (P.D. Luneschloss) among the floral gold embellishment on the left flat and a niter blue field running a third of the way up the blade. The hilt is of gilt brass construction overall featuring a deeply floral and leaf sculpted clamshell languet with a bust of a bearded man on the front, an eagle head rear quillion, floral pattern knuckleguard with a geometric pattern on the left and a second bust on the right, a two-faced pommel and an eight-piece mother of pearl grip.

Good. The loose blade shows 30% of the niter blue with a mixed brown and gray patina overall and scattered spotting. The hilt is good with some play in the guard, areas of exposed aged brass and a replaced panel in the grip.
