This is a very nice example of a Parker Brothers PH grade shotgun manufactured in 1895, that has been carefully, professionally restored. The barrels are marked "MADE IN U.S.A. PARKER BROS MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL" flanked by inward pointing arrows on the concave solid matte rib with a single nickel bead sight. With 2 1/2" chambers with extractors, choked improved cylinder/modified. The receiver and forearm hardware have been engraved in the P style with emphasis placed on the screws, underside and fences. Mounted on a multipoint checkered pistol grip stock and checkered splinter forearm with a hard rubber Parker Brothers grip cap and hard rubber dog logo Parker Brothers checkered buttplate. Length of pull is 13 1/4" .

Very fine as refinished. The barrels have 50% of the brown finish and very strong Damascus patterning displaying some small surface scratches and minor nicks. The receiver has 99% of the casehardened finish with some minor handling marks and strong well defined colorations. Engravings are crisp and very clean. The wood is very fine as refinished with attractive grain, crisp checkering, some light handling marks and a gloss varnish. Mechanically excellent.
