Manufactured in 1894. Single brass bead sight on the matte concave solid rib marked "PARKER BROS MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL". The chambers measure at approximately 3 inches, with extractor. The right side of the water table is stamped with the four patent dates and "2" over the serial number over "E" on the left side. The box lock action is lightly scroll engraved with an oval panel on each side of ducks on the left and partridges on the right, with "PARKER BROS" at the top of each scene and a round panel on the bottom with quail. Double triggers, tang mounted safety and mounted with a checkered walnut splinter forearm with engraved hardware and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap, unmarked initial shield and a Parker Bros. buttplate with the dog's head in the center. The forearm latch assembly is marked "PAT. MAR. 26, 1878". Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches. With two brass shell casings.

Very good. The barrels retain 40% of the original thin brown finish with an attractive Damascus pattern showing. The receiver, break lever, tang safety, triggers and trigger guard retain 20% original case colors with a smooth silver gray patina. The wood is good with scattered scratches and dings, with extensive wear to the checkering. The markings and engraving are clear.
