Manufactured in 1976, this wonderful example of a factory engraved Colt Python has a pinned ramp front and adjustable rear notch sights, wide checkered hammer and a serrated trigger and back strap. Featuring a Colt standard "D" grade engraving, with nearly full coverage. Engraving is in a classic American style, with tight scrolling swirls, and delicate shading. The frame is marked "COLT ENG" on the left side, under the grip. The grips are a dark checkered walnut, with inset gold Colt medallions. Box is numbered to the gun, with papers.

Near new in box. Displaying only minimal light handling marks, and some scattered surface scratches. The grips are excellent with sharp, well defined checkering and minimal light handling marks. The box is good with edge and corner wear and some missing end flaps. Mechanically excellent.
