Manufactured in 1955, the first year of production for the Colt Python. Standard markings, with a serrated pinned ramp front and adjustable square notch rear sight. Checkered wide spur hammer, serrated trigger serrated back strap and a shrouded ejector rod. Fitted with the original checkered walnut grips with gold Rampant Colt medallions.

Excellent overall with 97% original deep polished blue finish. Displaying some scattered light handling marks, a slight drag line on the cylinder, a small area of edge wear near the muzzle, and some small scattered dings. Grips are very good with some smoothed checkering, and some small chips at the toe of the butt.
