The bolt action rifle has a cocking lever on the right side of the stock (ahead of the trigger). The lever is pushed downward to cock the action. The top of the octagon receiver is marked "LELOUTRE/BETEE SGDG/PARIS." The bolt and two screw heads are marked with the number "11". Blade front sight and folding ladder rear sight graduated from 5 to 14. The trigger guard, buttplate and barrel bands (2) are brass. The full length straight grip stock is unmarked. The rifle has a steel ramrod, bayonet lug on the right side of the barrel and leather sling.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The rifle has a bright appearance. Overall the brass has taken on an aged patina. The stock is also fine showing a hairline crack near the cocking lever and scattered minor scratches and pressure dents. Mechanically fine.
