Description:

Manufactured in 1902. This carbine features a blade front sight and the barrel has the two line address/patent date marking above "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL" ahead of the folding ladder rear sight and "32-40" stamped at the breech. Upper receiver tang is marked "MODEL/1893". Full length magazine, casehardened hammer and lever. Fitted with a saddle ring on the left side of the receiver. Smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with carbine buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel and tube magazine retains 50 % of the original blue finish with some areas of light pitting. The receiver, hammer and lever retains 20% of the original casehardened finish fading to a smooth brown patina. The reoiled wood is very good with scattered scratches, dings and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
