Description:

A humorous portrayal of a skunk being prodded out of a hollow log. An African-American father, his son and their dog are reacting to the skunk raising its tail as their shotgun is propped against the log. Titled "Shoot Them and Avoid Trouble". Originally this line would have appeared at the bottom of the piece, with "WINCHESTER LOADED SHOTGUN SHELLS" at the top, with the picture flanked by the Winchester "W" logo. This slogan was misinterpreted and led to huge pressure on Winchester to remove the aforementioned slogan. Many of these posters had the frame trimmed off as is seen in this example. Measuring 29 inches long x 21 inches wide.

Rating Definition:

Very good as trimmed (frame taken off during period of display) showing some areas of moisture damage, and frame notches around the edges.
