Description:

Simulated leather covered binder entitled "The Revolutionary War" containing documents. Included are a payment certificate to Phineas Armstrong dated 1776. A printed payment certificate for three pounds dated 1781, a handwritten payment certificate dated 1780, a printed certificate dated 1782, a printed certificate dated 1781 with payment to be made in Spanish milled dollars and another printed certificate dated 1782. The final payment was not made until 1790. Also included are a reprint of the Remington 1882 price list and a group of notes concerning trail drives on the Chisholm Trail and giving lists of people working them in the 1880s. An interesting group of letters, especially for a Connecticut historian. All is contained in an oak display case 21 in x 14 in.
