Blade front and folding ladder rear sights, with a low arch breechblock and 3-click tumbler. Smooth "short wrist/long comb" stock, with "U" marked barrel bands, "A/10/17" painted in white on the right side of the buttstock, "17" in green on the left, "309" on the wrist and comb, and a "US" buttplate.

Fair, with a dark brown patina on the barrel, dark traces of the original casehardening on the lock, hammer and breech, and scattered handling marks overall. The stock is good, with some mild dents and scuffs. Mechanically very good.
