Matching serial number on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap with the assembly number "1564" on the loading gate. The butt is marked "W.F. & Co". The accompanying Colt factory letter dated November 26, 2012, verifies the serial number, caliber, barrel length, blue finish, grips as "Not Listed", and that it was shipped as 1 of 12 to Wells Fargo & Co. New York, New York, Attn. Mr. Ashton, Purchasing Agent on February 4, 1909. Mr. Ashton was in charge of the Supply Department for Wells Fargo from 1888 to 1910.

Rating Definition:

Good. The revolver has a smooth mottled gray patina with a few minor dings and scratches on the barrel and ejector housing. The oversize replacement grips are also good with a small chip on the left heel, a few minor dings and distinct checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
