Manufactured in 1902. The top of the barrel has the short two-line Hartford address and the left side is marked "COLT. D.A. 41". The left side of the frame is marked with the three-line/three-patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The revolver features a rare 6 inch barrel with a "bullseye" ejector rod head, blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened frame and niter blue trigger and hammer (polished sides). It is fitted with a two-piece set of mother of pearl grips. This scarce late model revolver is stamped on the front left side of the trigger guard with the Colt "VP" proof inside a triangle . Matching serial numbers are on the frame, trigger guard and back strap, and the "196" assembly number is on the loading gate.

Fine with 80% of the blue finish remaining on the various parts with 10% of the Colt case colors on the frame. The good grips have attractive color overall with some minor age cracks on the front left side with the right grip panel having a nicely repaired break running through the middle.
