This is an example of a 3 1/2 inch barrel Colt 1877 DA ejectorless "storekeepers" model DA revolver. The serial number range of this revolver indicates manufacture in late 1888. The top of the barrel has the standard two-line markings of "COLTS' PT. F.A. MFG. Co./HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A.", and the side of the barrel has the rare etched barrel panel markings of "COLT D.A.38". The left side of the frame has the standard Colt three-line patent dates with no Rampant Colt logo. The pistol has a nickel plated finish with the nitre blued action screws and cylinder pin. It is fitted with a set of checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top of each grip. It is correctly marked with the matching serial number on all the major parts. The loading gate is marked with assembly number "127".

Very fine with 85% plus of the original nickel plated finish overall with wear and thinning on the front and rear grip straps. The action screw retain 50% of their nitre blue finish with just light wear across the very tops of some of the screws. The markings are clear and sharp. The grips are both in very fine condition with a nice distinct Colt logo on each grip, sharp checkering on both sides and light wear on the lower areas. A very fine and attractive Colt model 1877 DA Storekeeper revolver.
