Manufactured in 1898 and subsequently professionally custom embellished with extensive coverage of broad leaf floral scroll engraving. In addition, there is a zigzag border and small star burst in each cylinder flute, a wavy zigzag design on the underside of the barrel and on the top strap and a zigzag design under the recoil shields, on the inside of the loading gate, around the rear of the cylinder and on the sides of the trigger guard. There is a sun burst on the bottom of the trigger guard bow. The top of the barrel is absent of the address. The left side is marked "38 W.C.F." and the left side of the frame is marked with the two-line/three-patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the frame, trigger guard and back strap and the assembly number "292" is marked on the loading gate. Nickel finish with niter blue screw heads and fitted with two piece stag grips.

Very good as professionally refinished and custom embellished with 99% plus nickel finish remaining. Almost all of the bright niter blue finish remains on the screw heads and cylinder pin. The grips are very fine. Mechanically fine. The Rampant Colt on the frame is faded a bit, but otherwise the markings and engraving are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
