Manufactured in 1893. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address, the left side is marked "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" and the two line, three patent dates are marked on the left side of the frame followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap, and the assembly number "926" is marked on the loading gate. Blade front, frame notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened frame and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, blue finish with the grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 of 10 to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company on August 25, 1893.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 30% original blue finish, concentrated mainly on the barrel, ejector housing, butt and protected areas, with a smooth brown and gray patina on the balance. The frame also shows 30% original faded case colors with a smooth mottled gray patina on the balance. The grips have faded to brown and remain very fine with a few light dings and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is fine.
