This elegantly designed shotgun was manufactured in Italy. The shotgun features a fully hardened, reinforced back action with hammers. The locking system is an English type double bolt, with automatic cocking and safety. The barrels are blue and the remaining parts are coin. Single brass bead sight on the matte solid rib, chambered 2 3/4" and choked cylinder/modified. The left barrel is marked "NEW ENGLAND ARMS CO./KITTERY POINT, ME "SIACE DI GELMINI MADE IN ITALY" in fancy script and the breech end of the barrels have a decorative gold inlay wire bands. The action, hammer sides and break lever are engraved with floral and vine patterns with a stippled background. The lower tang by the trigger guard is signed "CABR1061.B."The side plates are marked "Siace di Gelmini" on the left and "GARDONE V.L." on the right, both in fancy script. Jeweled ejector face, water table and barrel flats and double triggers. Mounted with extra fancy, nicely figured select walnut with hand checkered splinter forearm and straight grip stock with tear drop flats and a checkered bare butt. Near new in case, with some light handling marks. The wood is excellent, with minimal handling marks and very attractive grain. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
