Description:

This is another excellent example of one of these very unique medium frame, striker fired, prototype/test model handgun chambered in 32 ACP that we have for sale. This pistol has no maker's marks, proofs or serial numbers, and it actually has attributes from several different companies pistols: namely the Grant-Hammond, White-Merrill, Reising and/or Phillips. This example has a very flat, fully machined frame with a long upper slide or top cover that fits over the frame. This top cover/slide assembly it fitted with two lateral cross-pins that hold the top cover in place on to the frame. The barrel is screwed into the frame with a heavy recoil spring mounted under the barrel inside the frame. It is a blow-back type design with the striker/firing pin mechanism protruding from the rear of the frame. It is fitted with a set of smooth walnut grip panels and has the original clip that resembles a Colt Model 1903 magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with all the metal surfaces still in it original in the white finish having never been blued by the factory. The walnut grips are also in excellent condition showing no wear and handing marks. The pistol hand cycles and dry fires correctly, and it is certainly a very unique and very well machined experimental or prototype pistol.
