Description:

Each of these magazines is marked Germany to indicate they were in pistols likely exported to the United States. A) Bright plated two-piece case with wood bottom piece. The case is stamped Germany on the spine of the case near the bottom piece. There are no markings on the wooden bottom piece. Note that this magazine is proper for an early Stoeger marked Luger as can be seen from period Stoeger advertisements which show their pistols with a wooden bottom piece magazine. B) Bright plated two piece case with aluminum bottom piece that is stamped Germany going from the center line of the magazine bottom down to the spine area of the bottom piece. Note that this location of marking is unusual; normally the Germany stamping goes across the center area of the bottom piece. This magazine would be proper for a mid to late production Stoeger marked Luger pistol as it is believed they began to use aluminum bottom magazines by the mid 1930's. C) This magazine has an extruded case with the satin verchromt finish and the markings Haenel within an Arrow followed by Schmeisser Patent on the right side of the case along and below the case slot for the loading button. This magazine has an aluminum bottom piece which is Germany stamped across the center area. Note that many collectors only associate such Haenel marked plated and extruded magazines with the German Police. Actually, this model of Haenel side case marked magazine was also used by Krieghoff. Refer to The Krieghoff Parabellum by Gibson pages 55 and 58 (magazine type B-1-C) for an example of this exact model of magazine. Also refer to page 190 which states that this plated model of extruded magazine was used in some early P Code Commercial Krieghoff Luger pistols. It is very rare to find such an extruded Haenel marked Luger magazine with the Germany marking on the aluminum bottom piece.

Rating Definition:

The condition of each magazine is very fine to excellent.
