Manufactured in 1942, this Colt U.S. Army contract M1903 Pocket pistol was shipped to England during WWII. The British markings indicate that the pistol was one of the "U.S. Property" marked M1903 pistols supplied to Great Britain under the Lend Lease Act. Both U.S. Property and British Crown proofs are on the right side of the frame, slide and chamber area of the barrel. It has the other standard slide markings and features. The left rear side of the frame is stamped with both a small Ordnance escutcheon, and the serial number is stamped above the trigger. The left trigger guard bow is stamped with the Colt "VP" Verified Proof and the right with the assembler's number "57". The pistol has the dull gray/green Colt Parkerized finish and is fitted with checkered walnut grips with inset silver Colt medallions. Includes a plain tan box, hand numbered to the gun, one extra blue Colt marked magazine in grease paper wrapping, and papers.

Very fine as arsenal refinished with 99% plus of the parkerized finish with high edge wear and handling marks. Markings are legible, but some have been partially obscured during the refinish process. The grips are excellent with sharp checkering and minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
