This is a good example of WWII Army contract Remington Model 1903A4 sniper rifle. These rifles were issued during WWII, again in Korea and even Vietnam. The replacement barrel is marked "R A/flaming bomb/12-43" and the receiver is marked "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3" correctly offset on the left side. The bolt does not have the correct "R" marking on the underside of the handle. The rifle has a Redfield marked scope base installed on the receiver, and mounted with a refurbished M82 scope, with flip up front lens cap and rear shroud. Fitted with unmarked stamped blue barrel bands and stamped parkerized trigger guard. Mounted on a scant grip type stock, without finger grooves and a full length handguard. Stock has no distinguishable markings. Includes a leather 1907 pattern sling.

Fine with 75% plus of the parkerized finish, displaying scattered light handling marks, surface scratches, and cycling marks. The wood is very fine as oiled, with scattered small indentations. The scope is very good, with some light handling marks and light red spotting. Mechanically excellent.
