Description:

Introduced in 1878. The top of the barrel rib is marked with the two line address and patent dates. It has the six-shot fluted cylinder with automatic ejector, a pinned half moon front sight and checkered diamond pattern grips. Matching numbers (8105) on the butt, cylinder, barrel latch, and barrel.

Rating Definition:

Very good as period replated. The revolver retains 80% nickel finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. There are some areas of minor pitting. The replacement grips are very good with some worn checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

The top of the barrel rib is marked with the two line address/patent dates. Matching serial number on the butt, rear face of the cylinder, barrel latch, and rear of the top strap at the latch. Pinned blade front sight with the rear sight a notch in the latch. Fitted with S&W monogram checkered grips with the right grip stamped with the number "12645" on the back.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The revolver retains traces of original blue finish in and around the protected areas, otherwise a smooth gray patina. 40% of original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are good with a large surface chip missing from the left panel and some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
