Manufactured in Japan, the Model 23 Classic was only imported in 1986 and 1987. Dual white bead sights on the matte rib, the East Alton address on the left barrel, "MADE IN JAPAN" on the right, "20" marking on the rear of the rib, modified and improved modified chokes, 3 inch chambers and ejectors. The frame is lightly scroll engraved and it has a gold finished single trigger, selective tang safety and a golden pheasant on the underside. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock with an ebony insert at the forearm tip, engraved steel grip cap, unmarked inscription panel and a solid Winchester recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 3/8 inches. With a Winchester luggage-style takedown case.

Excellent overall with 97% original blue finish. The barrels display some minor handling marks and dings. The wood is excellent with attractive grain an figuring, some light handling marks and minimal indentations. Mechanically excellent.
