Manufactured in 1954 and chambered in the 257 Roberts caliber. According to the chambering data in THE RIFLEMAN'S RIFLE, only 2.52% of all pre-64 Model 70s were chambered for .257 Roberts. Standard Winchester markings with the factory oval proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Hooded ramp front sight, adjustable folding leaf rear sight and receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting. Polished bolt number and sling swivels. The raised comb pistol grip stock features checkering and a checkered steel buttplate.

Excellent. The rifle retains 97% original blue finish showing areas of gray on and around the high edges of the buttplate. The stock is very fine showing a few minor handling marks around the pistol grip area with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
