With a single bead sight on the concave, matte rib, marked "HUNTER ARMS CO. FULTON N.Y.". With 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked modified/full. The casehardened receiver is skillfully engraved with game birds on the left and right side plates, as well as "L.C. SMITH" and flourishes of tight detailed scroll engraving. Further engraving is visible on the trigger guard, fences, and break lever. Mounted on a multipoint checkered splinter forearm and checkered pistol grips stock with hard rubber grip cap and leather covered recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 inches.

Very good as partially refinished. The barrels have 90% of the current blue finish, with areas of edge wear, some light scratches and a few minor dings. The receiver is very good, with strong engravings and original case colors primarily in the protected areas, the balance having aged to a silver tone, with some light spotting. The wood is very good, with scattered small indentations throughout, light surface scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically very good.
