Manufactured in 1899 with a fixed half moon blade front and frame notch rear sights with a checkered niter blue hammer and a smooth niter blue trigger. Barrel is marked with the two-line address/patent date stamp on top, and "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips.

Fine with 60% original blue finish displaying areas of thinning and edge wear, scattered "graffiti" scratches and dings and some light spotting. Grips are very good with well defined checkering, light handling marks and a crack near the toe of the left panel. Mechanically excellent.

Fine overall with 50% original blue finish displaying areas of edge wear, light spotting, scattered scratches and minor spotting. The grips are excellent with well defined checkering and only minor light chipping near the butt. Mechanically excellent.
