This rifle was built on a FN Mauser action by Paul Jaeger and was master engraved by Claus Willig with primarily leaf and punch dot patterns on the barrel at the breech, the grip cap, trigger guard, and nearly all of the action including part of the bolt handle and the upper tang. The floor plate also features leaf patterns along with a silver finished grizzly baring its teeth. The engraving is accented by silver inlaid borders. The bolt, magazine follower, and bolt release are jeweled. The barrel has no provisions for a rear sight but is fitted with a bead front sight dovetailed on a stippled ramp. A Lyman peep sight base is attached to the right side of the receiver bridge, and a Kollmorgen Stith 4x scope is fitted on a Paul Jaeger side mount. The barrel and scope mount are marked with the Paul Jaeger Jenkinton, PA address. The left side of the barrel is marked "2545 CAL. 270". It is mounted on a walnut Monte Carlo stock with extended checkering patterns, contrasting forend cap, and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as professionally custom built and master engraved. The rifle retains 98% plus of the blue finish and nearly all of the precious metal plating which has taken on a dark patina in many of the border areas. The jeweled components remain lustrous. The stock is also very fine with sharp checkering. There are only some faint handling type marks and a few faint scratches overall. The optics and action are excellent.
