Description:

This is a early WWII G41 rifle produced by the Berlin-Lubecker company in 1943. These rifles were the forerunner of later WWII G/K43 series of semi-automatic rifles and were produced with the cosmetically machined action. The left side of the receiver is marked: "G41 duv 43. eagle/214" followed by the serial number "8077". It is fitted with a wartime laminated stock that is stamped with a very faint double "eagle 214" Waffenamt proof on the right side of the butt and mismatched serial number "742" on the underside of the stock. It has the early brown phenolic resin (plastic) hand guard that was used on these in early 1942/43. This rifle has an all blued finish with the machined barrel receiver and action cover combined with the stamped sheet metal barrel bands, trigger guard and magazine assemblies.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 80% plus of the blued finish overall showing light wear and thinning on the edges and high spots. The otherwise very good replacement stock has been varnished with the proofs and serial number partially visible. The visible serial numbers on the various parts are matching.
