Blade front and tangent rear sights, with the "byf" factory code and "44" date on top of the receiver ring, "eagle/135" and "eagle/swastika" proofs on multiple components, and "Mod.98" on the left side. Matching numbers are present on the barrel, bolt, floor plate and barrel bands, with "byf" stamped trigger guard and floor plate, "WaA135" buttstock, and a "gqm/42" (Lock & Hartenberger) buttplate. Handguard is mismatched, number 8333, internally. With a reproduction brown leather sling and a spring-loaded muzzle protector.

Very fine as assembled, showing 90% plus of the original blue, with mild handling marks and spotting overall, bright edge wear, and a plum patina on the extractor. The barrel band spring has been damaged and shortened, and the rear trigger guard lock screw is absent. Stock is good, with mild dents and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
